The free concert series at the Cadillac Hotel
is open to all. The purpose is to provide great, uplifting music for the residents of the Cadillac Hotel and San Francisco's
Tenderloin District. The "Patricia Walkup Memorial Piano" is one of the great pianos in the City. It is a fully-restored
1884 Steinway Model D Concert Grand Piano, which was donated to the hotel in memory of Patricia Walkup, San Francsco activist.
The instrument was meticulously restored over an 8-year period in the 1990s. Made of Indian Rosewood, it looks as good as
it sounds. The 126 year old gem is expertly maintained on regular basis.
